| 11 hours before I plan to leave for St. Louis, leaving at 4am, my god damn timing belt snaps as soon as I pull into Vannoys tire to get my front end alignment done! So after cussing and kicking and throwing shit for about 10 mins, I first call my friend to come and tow my car back to my house, I was not about to pay a tow truck nor pay vannoys a arm and a leg to change a belt when it wouldn't be until tomorrow! As I'm waiting for my friend I begin calling ever store I could find along with ever friend I could think of. And after an hour on the phone I find a store that has the belt in stock! Thank you Oriellys! Even though the location was over in the scary ghetto part of pensacola! Me and a friend strap some chains to my bumper and pull my car about 2 miles to my house. Then my friend has to leave to do other shit... I then hop my ass into my moms Sanata and I hate driving that damn thing, auto sucks! Kept trying to shift, kept steping on the floor board trying to find that damn invisable clutch! Anyhow, I got the belt and have been trying to get it on since 8:30! Fucking stuburn crank pulley bolt wont come off! Even with my impact gun! I just got all the tangled mess of belt out of there and now about ready to find out what other delaying suprises this Honda has in store for me EDIT: BTW my hands, face, and arms are BLACK! | |

| It was changed before I bought the car, 20,000 miles ago I was doing about 5mph when it snaped, and my foot was right on the clutch, so when I felt/heard it I slammed my foot on the clutch. Hopefully that would help any damage! PS I still have 5 hours before I plan to leave! But I doubt it | |

| did you get the bolt off? Do you have a quality impact gun? If not make sure when you do get it off that yu take it to a shop and have it put back on with a serious impact gun. I had one come off its no fun. | |

| you have to get a real good gun and alot of pressure from a good compressor. Looks like your gonna have to borow them from someone. I dont have any of or id help you out. There is a tool just for locking the crank pulley into place so you can get the nut off with hand tools, but again I dont have one. When I got my car al back together I took it to Lorange to be tuned and had them lock the bolt down with their tools. | |

| Yea thanks for the info, I figured my walmart compressor was the problem. I think I'm going to result to towing it to a shop and either have them hit it with a good impact gun and get the bolt off, or just tow it to the shop and have them do the whole belt. Which I think I might have them do it so they can give me a compression test to pray the valves arnt fucked up. | |

| Towed car to a shop, took them 30 mins to get that fucking bolt off. Even though they don't do timing belts there, they went ahead and did it for me! Since no one was coming in for tires. lol. Paid the guy for his work.
After it was done, I held my breath as I started turning the key, closed my eyes as I cranked it, then bam! It works fine! Woot woot! Well kind of, I did get lucky that nothing serious happen, but I think one or two valves might be bent slightly, or I just need to do a valve adjustment cause I know I needed one before the belt broke.
Right now I am about to change my oil and probably try and do a valve adjustment. Lets hope that works!

| I believe if you had even the slightest bent valve the car wouldnt run or would knock like a son of a bitch. I could be wrong. | |

| naw dave u would be right if any of the valves are bent at all then the car would run like shit and he would need a valve job and new valves and if it hit the piston maybe a new piston but hopefully he just needs a valve adjustment | |

| Well that is a bit better news then I have been getting. The car seems to run just fine with no problems in power what so ever.
But heres another problem you guys might be able to help me out with. For some damn reason my running light fuse keeps poping! I have no idea what is going on! I've checked everything! So now I can't drive at night because I have no tail lights on! Also I can't use my blinkers!
