weak sauce

as everyone undoubtedly knows, the import scene especially here in destin, ft walton area. is taking a slow spin down the shitter. same guys standing around grillin, talkin trash and not doing a damn thing. so to be more to the point, where is the scene now? im losing faith in the general tuning "community" and the new kids just gettin in the game seem to need some import tuning edicate. WHAT ARE WE TO DO? if anyone has any ideas of how we can resurrect this scene back to what everyone knows asthe testosterone filled, pride bashing, shit talking good time it can be there are a number of tuners' most of which are probably reading this, who would be interested in mass cars rolling out and an all around pimping good, lets get something started...

well i havent lost faith in the tunning community and as far as those kids ur talkin bout just remember that we were all young once and everyone has to start somewhere and as people that have been around longer we should take it upon ourselves to teach and show the right way to the up and commers. remember if u dont support the secene with postive things u wont get crap....good in good out...im sure once u getout on the road to import faceoff u will get the spark again

i know ive only been here a few years, but ive seen the scene here come to life and die out all with such quickness that it blows my mind. He is right as "elders" lol to the tuning scene we have some what of a responsability to get these wipper snappers in shape. But also, im just throwing ideas out here, If we really want to get it popping, we have to make it something that people are actually WANTING to do. That means being more organized. I think think that means getting rid of all these small clubs in the area, and making them one.

let me elaborate.

when i first got stationed here, i was actually in awe of what is called a "car club" here. i have never seen or been a part of any group or club whatever you want to call it that does nothing or offers nothing for people in or wanting to join, to me a club is more then a sticker and just hanging out once a week. A club is a family, that does things for eachothers cars, and further in every aspect in life that we can help each other.

Then again who am i to say how things are run up here. im just stating what i have noticed since ive been here.

if any one wants ideas on how to really get it kicking around here let me know i want nothign more then to see the scene explode. im sure all you guys want a scene like socal. guess what they do the above. thats why they flurish, other then mass jdm goodies of course.


so in short we need to come together in organize something to keep the scene alive and well really, make it grow into something that will stay.

couldnt have said it better myself except that i like the car clubs all being different because then it modavates people to shine even harder

im not saying that people cant be different, or that i want it to be one club, because we all know that will never happen, there is to much difference in taste, what im saying, as a community we need to come together, and be more organized, and ditch the idea"your not our clubs so gtfo" that shit is garbage.

thats just me talking, when i get back in april, me and a few buddies will try to start it up the way a car scene should be, but then again we are just city slickers and have seen the light lol.

you know im trying i allways promote the scene.

i think everyone knows im always tryin to promote our scene....u know what we need to do is all get up and do some photoshoots and maybe even some vids of all of us crusing around and shit....maybe even a few top speed runs lol...i know some people are down for that

its hard to find a club like that to many different people but you can have cliques to do what youre talking about but ive been wanting to start something like that but i need some help with it and opinions as well i dont want to be the only one making the decisions.

Just do it all here on UB im up for the vids as soon as my shit is finished. We are planning a BBQ for all of the UB crew soon ill keep everyone updated. What a good day fr everyone? Someone create a poll on best day of the week for a BBQ that they can attend. so theres not a ton of responses on this thread.

the only problem is finding people that are dedicated to making things like that happen.

Anything to get the site more exposure and get more members. We need to keep pushing the site like I did to all of you. Hand out those flyers at the meet and talk the forum up.
