D Series Guys Chime in

ive noticed there are some other d series soldiers here on unclebennyz. whats you setup?

i say we have a b vs d challenge!!!

here is my setup

car is a crx was gutted but now has 75% of the interior back in and a 6pt that adds the weight up to more than it was stock
motor a6 block with a y8 head
head has all stock parts with a little bit of port work
block has crower rods and je pistons just because i got a GREAT deal on them (after the #3 rod in the last motor decided it wanted to stay in mobile)
i switched the car to obd 1 myself the hard way not the conversion harness way
its got a small nitrous kit on normally with the 50 shot pills in it
oh and an automatic tranmission

car has run a best 1/8th of 9.56 and 75 on motor and an 8.52 at 83 on a 50shot.

in the 1/4 it runs 15.0s at 91 and the one 1/4 nitrous pass its been 13.702 at 99.96

how come the K didnt get invited, no fair.

thats cus the k motors are always in backward so they dont count

granted. we all know the standings on motors and that k series has me a little worried, however, there is no other motor that carries with it the inherient shock value as the dirty d. it so much fun explaining to who ever that their v8 monster (just an example) just got its asshole ripped out by a 1.6 sohc, turbo or not. and after seeing the way one of those motors can really perform... makes me respect honda motors all the more, backwards or not. preferrably not

oh and the k motor guys will have to wait til the d's finish off the b's

i'm running a y8 motor with 88-89 integra pistons , crank , rods and crank pulley, 8lb flywheel, stage 2 clutch , s40 trans. hand polished head. and an ebay header, and the home depot intake. i think that's it as far as the motor is concerned. (it's late , can't think) got some other little bolt on stuff, nothing serious.
