| My original plan with the b18c swap was to go turbo, but now i keep getting tempted to go N/A. I wanna get everyone's input. What are the pros and cons you can think of for each and why do you think I should go one way or the other. DISCLAIMER: I just mainly want to hear what everyone thinks. I'll most likely still go turbo, but just thought i'd throw it out there for discussion...(I'm bored) | |

| You know what Im gonna say. If you build a motor to handle any kind of boost then you are limitless, NO2, SC TC. If you go all motor you are locked into a set hp range. I was told by a wise man that it costs alot more money to go fast on motor than it does FI | |

Either way...i will never amount to the beauty, Non Garbageness of your truck. Now if you'll excuse me...i have to go vomit from all the bullshit that I just let come out of my mouth.

| I only see one heder Yeah the GSR is so unloved inthe US. Everyone wants the B16 which is imo lame. The GSR is stouter in every aspect at stock revs. Even with the stock IM as long as its functioning properly. I just dont get why people bash the GSR so much it is so aparent when you get a good look inside one that it is way more advanced and has more engineering in it. Ohh yeah and its a stronger block than any other honda block. | |

| not bashing the motor i like the motor, the head and stock intake manifold design are terrible, you put a stock b16 head/IM, with the gsr cams, and you have more power over stock, weird the whole pr3 design being superior an all that lols. and never did i say YOURS dude, just gsr's in general. but what i know, nothing about honda's apparently. | |

| actually GSR cams on a B16 are not worth the money. Back when i had my B16 i was gonna pick up a set of GSR cams off a friends for 50 bucks until i did some research. Basically you could put the cams in two different bags, close your eyes and pick one. | |

| where did you get your supporting evidence that the c1 head dosent flow well and the manifold doesnt work?
ive seen dyno charts and flow bench numbers that prove the opposite!!!
Just rememeber the peices of one puzzle fit goofy in a puzzle they are not meant to be in!
ive seen dyno charts prove a stock gsr intake mani makes 15-20 mid range whp over any other manifold with about 8 psi of boost... i would much rather have 15whp extra at 4000-6500 than 50whp extra at 8000
but at the same time the stock mani isnt as beneficil with n2o because you get the mid range on demand!
ive also heard from a very good head work guy that he could do alot to a b16 head but the c1 head was nearly perfect!

please dont get me wrong i wasnt tryin to be a dick i just have mad bseries luv kinda like u dseries guys i know u know what im talkin bout

| I've had my fair share of Honda engines. This is my 6th Honda and I've had a diverse share of engines as they were all different Hondas... 88 Civic............D15B2................ 95 Accord LX...F22 Non-VTEC..... 95 Accord EX...F22 VTEC............ 89 Accord........F20..................... 04 Civic...........D17A2 VTEC....... 94 Civic...........D15B7................ 94 Civic...........B18c1 Swap....... The B18c1 is by far the best Engine I have had. I was planning on putting an H22 swap in the EX accord, but ran into some rust issues. I was going to Kswap the 04 Civic, but that got to expensive so i decided i would put a gt2871R turbo on it instead, but then i got engaged. So now i bought my beather 94 civic and put the GSR swap in it and I'm so glad I did. Hopefully in a year or so I will be able to do the Turbo set up on it. But as far as engines go...B18C1 FTMFW | |

| i guess ive seen and experienced the opposite with that head, the pr3 style head will always be superior in my eyes, i mean if thegsr head was so great, you would think honda would have takin it over to the b16b or the c5, but i guess honda never did their research. weird. also, never did i say i would BUY the gsr cams. here is my basic basic as basic set up i would do if I had a complete GSR to start with so all the confusion ends. take the complete gsr, ditch the head and intake manifold, grab the cams. put b16/16b/c5 head on, (of course dont replace the cams of the b or c5) put motor back together, get tuned. yay. simple enough, now if you have the money to just buy after market cams/intake manifold, do whatever right from the start, then yes of course that is better. but if you dont have the money id do the above. vs buying a intake header and exhaust because that nets what lke 15 whp maybe on a b series? stock intake/itr header/and a itr mid pipe is all you really need untill you get into a power adder situation. but then again i drive a ford so who knows. lols. | |

| and i guess ill post my no experience with hondas list
91 civic si - built the a6 because, i like that motor, i/h/e/decked the block/msd ignition garbage, fpr and N02. had good times with it until i got stupid and blew the motor. swapped a b16, nothing special basic worthless bolt ons to make the car louder.(i/h/e) and of course kept the spray., got bored with how slow it was, got stupid, blew the motor. (see the trend? lol) 92 civic cx- got a b18a1 motor for free, so what do i do, put it in my car duh. still had my worthless noise making mods, put them on so people could hear me coming i guess lol. still had the n02, had this car on this set up for a WHILE, ( i love egs), came across a b1 motor, took my car to the track and blew the motor out of boredom. 94 civic cx - i put the b1 motor in it. and pretty much left it alone.
jump foward in time
03 civic si - ditched the garbage k20a3 and dropped a k20a2. intake/ hondata IMG.
now k series i do promote the basic bolt ons, because they show results that are worth the money.
alright, im done here. | |
