Well I spent all of today at Adams with Johnny and our good friend Rhandomeha(sp) while he got a little work done on the Del Sol. I spent the entire day cleaning all the parts and pieces of my motor. I never realized how much I was not doing on previous builds in the cleaning dept. We sent the block to CAMS to be cleaned and bored and it came back very clean but Johnny wanted it cleaner. So we went to it cleaning and removing loose castings and smoothing out the passages. After we got everything super clean we mock assembled the short block to see how much we can mill the block which will raise the compression and make it a faster car on motor and that translates into a faster nitrous car of course. So now the block has to go back to Cams the machine shop to be decked. We were short a few bearings and a head gasket so the final assembly wont be untill we get those in. Im very impressed with how meticulous Johnny Adams is and how he runs his shop. Im sure we will have it ready for Import Face Off as long as we dont run into too many more snags. Im taking my time on this one thats for sure.

This car will by no means be a HP monster. I am focusing more on being a well planted strong running fwd car that hooks up. I of course focus on 1/8 mile times since thats where most of the ass whoopings will be handed out. Im sure in the 1/4 I wont hold a candel to the majority of the FI class so im just gona bracket race. I cant be expected to keep up with the Orions and Rhandomehea's out there making well over 300 hp. Ill be happy if my car ever sees 300. I just dont have the dollars to sink into such an elaborate set up like a turbo set up. Much respect to those of you who do. I plan on becoming a better drive than most of the fast cars so maybe ill have a chance with the hole shot and getting wound up sooner.

As for the motor pics were having issues uploading the pics so Ill try again later. But heres the list of changes.

B18a1 block decked for Higher comp
Hondata IM gasket
JDM GSR cams
Adjustable cam gears
Slight porting on the IM
OEM b18b1 crank OEM bearrings
Full MSD Ignition system
And more tuning on the DYno

other than that its still got the GSR head, Eagle rods, and Arias Flat tops,

Of course theres a shit ton more parts on the car but there just not worth mentioning... well maybe the Fullrace traction bars and the BFG's

I will be trailering the car to the track just in case I break something which I expect to do once in a while so its nice having the peace of mind knowing that if I break all I have to do is roll it on the trailer and head home for repairs. Since the car is getting all oem bearrings and Oem crank im not worried any more about longevity im sure itll hold together for a long time.
